The Lieutenant General Jeffrey Crust has been excluded as the director of the defense intelligence agency, confirming a senior defense officer on Friday.
“Lieutenant General Crust will no longer work as DIA Director,” the official said in a brief statement.
A spokesperson said that Christine Bordin, Deputy Director of the agency, would play the acting DIA Director.

According to a source familiar with the notification, the leaders of the intelligence committee in the Congress were informed about the firing of the DIA chief, but no reason was given for this.
“So far another senior national security officer firing outlines the dangerous habit of treatment to treat intelligence as a loyalty test for our country,” said in a statement, the Democratic Sen Mark Warner of Virginia, who is the vice -chairman of the Senate Select Intelligence Committee, said in a statement.
