After chasing the victory on Thursday’s queen stage, Pogakar once again displayed that his focus is firmly on the protection of his commanding lead in general classification.
It seems that he would start an attack in Arsenman – and his fifth stage win in this year’s race – but instead he looked at the Winggard closely, and then his main rival bid late to win.
This is the sixth consecutive version of the race won by either Pogkar or two -time champion Winggard, but Slovenian has once again proved to be a class above its opponent in 2025.
The battle for the third between Lipovitz and only, with most riders in the top 10, was finely prepared after Britain’s excellent ride, powerful Colonel de la Loz took them within 22 seconds of an unexpected podium finish.
The team picnic-postal rider only has gone with strength only on its second tour, but it was Scott that stumbled first at the final climb of 19.1 km, growing at a cruel average shield of 7.2%.
After displaying his form by finishing the podium in Tour Day Suis last month, he came into the race, targeting a platform win – but would leave with a reputation as one of the most promising young riders of the game, assuring everyone with the fourth place.
It was ARENSMAN’s – and the British team Ineos Grenadiers’ – Day. After an initial step by 25 -year -old Pogkar and Winggard, he was freed in the final 13 km, and, not much for his mistrust.
“I feel absolutely destroyed,” said Arsenman.
“I can’t believe it. It was incredible to win a phase in the tour already in the tour, but now against the GC group, against the strongest riders in the world, it seems that I am dreaming.
“I don’t know what I have done now.”
