Tadej Pogacar once again claimed his dominance in Tour Day France as he claimed his fourth phase victory of this year’s edition on Friday.
The ruled champions, who won the stage 12 by winning stage 12 on Thursday, produced another commanding ride to win the Mountain Time Trail on Stage 13.
The 26 -year -old Slovenian completed the 10.9 km route from Loudenwell, which was exactly 23 minutes to Peragude’s Airfield in Pirenis.
This was 36 seconds faster than his main rival Jonas Wingguard and has increased his overall lead by four minutes and seven seconds.
World and Olympic time-trial champion REMCO Ansel, who started the third day in general classification, won other time tests on this year’s visit.
But Belgium was already slower than the top two when he faced a mechanical issue, in which the Winggard was passing it to the last climb.
Despite going to 2mins 39secs slower compared to Pogacar, Enepoel GC finished third in GC standing, although now he sees the defending champion for more than seven minutes.
Primos Rojlik finished third that day, while British young Oscar only secured 29 seconds on Kevin Wauquelin, with Frenchman placed in total.
