New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a strict warning to Air India, threatening enforcement action on alleged security violations, especially about the fatigue management and training protocol of the crew, reported the news agency Reuters.According to the report, in its notice, the DGCA expressed serious concern about Air India’s “systemic issues” in compliance monitoring, crew plan and training governance.Notice cited 29 violations, in which pilots were not compulsorily relaxed, poor compliance with simulator training requirements, lack of training for a high altitude airport and flying on international routes with insufficient cabin crew.“Despite repeated warnings and enforcement action of non-transportation in the past, compliance surveillance, crew plan and systemic issues related to the government are unresolved,” read one of the notice.“Repetition of such violations suggest failure to establish and apply the effective control mechanism,” it said. This comes after a report of problems to DGCA by the airline, when an aircraft takes 242 passengers after crashed in Ahmedabad.Meanwhile, Air India said in a statement that notice related to voluntary revelations made in the last one year, and it would respond to the regulator.“We are committed to the safety of our crew and passengers,” said this.Air India has come under intensive investigation since the Ahmedabad accident, which was the world’s aviation disaster in a decade.A preliminary report found that fuel control deteriorated after takeoff. One pilot asked the other why he cut the fuel and received a response that he had not done so, the report said.
