First on Fox: The Trump administration is sueing the city of Los Angeles, alleging that policies interfere with their work with federal immigration officers.
Attorney General Palm Bondi told Fox News in a special statement, “Sanctuary policies were the cause of violence, anarchy, and law enforcement attacks, which the Americans recently seen in Los Angeles.”
Bondi said, “The jurisdiction such as Los Angeles who prioritize illegal aliens on American citizens, are lowering law enforcement at every level – it ends under President Trump,” Bandy said.

The trial states that the city is discriminating against federal authorities by treating ice differently compared to other types of law enforcement.
The Department of Justice argues that the section of domination in the US Constitution bans it, so they are asking a judge to block the enforcement of policies.

Los Angeles faced protests and riots earlier this month as the ICE operated throughout the region, resulting in the legally challenged by President Donald Trump. Mayor Karen Bass spoke against violence in the city at that time, but he said that Trump’s deployment worked as an incitement.
Bass said earlier this month, “Last Thursday, Ice entered our city and chased people through home depot and car wash and instigated the city and showed it in schools and today, emergency rooms and homeless shelters.”
