Spain has sent 500 more troops to fight fierce forest fire, the total has been deployed up to 1,900, as the toll of death from Blaze has increased to four.
On Sunday, a fire fighter died after an accident during firefighting efforts when his truck fell down from a steep hill, Castille and Leon Regional Government said.
Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez expressed “sadness” and “desolate” on X on the latest death.
In the neighboring Portugal, where the fire is burning, another fire fighter was killed in a “tragic” traffic accident on Sunday, said President Marcello Rebelo de Susa.
Greece, France, Türkiye and Balkan have also caught fire as a heatwave has scorched the health of southern Europe.
Many major fire is still burning in the north -west and west of Spain, where 27,000 residents are currently taken out of their homes.
