The United Arab Emirates is expected to announce retail fuel prices for July 2025 as part of its monthly pricing update. Since ending fuel prices in 2015, the UAE has tied the cost of domestic petrol and diesel with international oil market trends. These monthly amendments are closely viewed by the residents, as they directly affect the cost and domestic budget. In June 2025, prices were stable compared to May, with a slight decline in diesel:
- Super 98 Petrol: DH2.58 per liter
- Special 95 petrol: DH2.47 per liter
- E-Plus 91 Petrol: DH2.39 per liter
- Diesel: DH2.45 per liter (below DH2.52 in May)
This year’s highest fuel prices were recorded in February, while April marked the least.Global oil prices have declined rapidly, making speculation that UAE fuel prices may follow suits in July. Brent crude, international benchmark, currently trading near $ 69 per barrel, which is more than 7% alone this week. This decline comes despite the recent erupting between Israel and Iran that prices were briefly pushed. However, both nations appear to increase the situation. The significant strait of hormuz, through which an important part of the global oil supply passes, remains open and unaffected.Tamas Varga, an analyst of PVM Oil Associates, said:“The geo -political risk premium built since the first Israeli strike on Iran has completely disappeared.”Analysts say the markets are now focusing on basic things like supply and demand from geopolitical risks. In the second half of 2025, an oil surplus is expected to grow, which is inspired by softening global demand and increasing production.OPEC+, oil producing alliance which includes UAE and Saudi Arabia, is scheduled to get on 6 July. According to Westpack’s Robert Renee, the group may agree to increase production per day per day starting in August. Reni said:“As global production increases and demands van, we will look at the prices of checking $ 60- $ 65 range.”Such mobility can strengthen the current below pressure on global oil prices. If global oil trend continues, UAE motorists may see low fuel prices in July. While local petrol rates also reflect refinement and distribution costs, the country’s pricing system is firmly connected to Brent raw movements. He said, any possible relief on the pump can still be affected:
- 6 July OPEC+ Results of Meeting
- Israeli-Iran’s stability
- Comprehensive global economic demand trends
The official July prices will be announced on the last day of June by the UAE’s federal petroleum company building. Till then, residents are advised to be informed as international development affects the approach to local fuel costs.
