Unarmed soldiers ran a fellow service member, who allegedly set fire to Fort stewart In Georgia, Army Secretary Dan Driskl said on Thursday. Five soldiers were injured in the shooting, and suspected, a havildar at the army base, is in custody.
Driskl told reporters on Thursday morning, “They were unarmed and dealt with an armed man and knew that they knew that they were actively shooting their friends, their colleagues, their fellow soldiers.”
The suspect was identified as SGT. Quornlius Redford, Pratiel is being held on waiting for allegations in custody. According to his service records, the suspect joined the army in 2018 and was assigned to another Brigade Combat team. Officials had said that the shooting was done in the area of the Combat team in the base.
“We train for it on the battlefield, and this is a different position when it is on an installation with your own,” Brigade. General John Lubas said.
Lubas said the suspect used his personal weapon in shooting.

Arnold told reporters, “This is our training, which is kicked.” “I kicked me, and you just go to work.”
Taylor said she was in her office at the opposite end of the building and heard of Arnold Yale about bullets. He left his office and saw smoke at the end of a hallway.
“I saw a soldier laying on the ground there, so I immediately went to the soldier and started providing assistance,” he said.
Three of the five soldiers injured in the shooting have been issued, 3 in the Infantry Division and Fort Stewart Commander Lubas said. The soldiers used their training until the ambulance came out quickly.
“When we talked to the surgeons in the hospital, it was clear that the work he did mainly stopped the bleeding, before they loaded into the ambulance and quickly evacuated the army medical, definitely saved their lives,” Lubas said.
The army is investigating the criminal search division shooting.
