England have won all of all of their previous meetings with the United States, which has recently been 43–29 in 2021, when like this summer, a fleet of players of first choice was away with British and Irish Lions.
The United States suffered a 31–24 defeat by Spain in Charlotte at the end of last week, a disadvantage that reached 16th in the world rankings.
The match is being staged in the 20,000-capacity Audi area in Washington, a place used by DC United of Major League Soccer.
Washington is one of 27 cities including Chicago, New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, which has expressed interest in staging matches on hosting the United States 2031 and 2033 Rugby World Cup.
