The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) said on Friday that it had fired dozens of foreign contract workers from China, Russia, North Korea and Iran.
The deduction of about 70 workers followed a national security review for US food security.
A USDA spokesperson said the contract workers came from “countries of anxiety” and “will no longer be able to work on USDA projects.”

Most of the contract workers were vetoed to Chinese post-doctoral researchers, some arrived to work this week to find out that their badges no longer work.
Earlier this month, USDA Secretary Brooke Rolins announced in a new plan to keep US Farmland safe that contracts with any laborers from China, North Korea, Iran and Russia should be canceled, and citizens of those countries would not be allowed to buy farm in the US.
All ARS project publications are also expected to be reanelyzed and co-author will be denied with researchers from four countries, Ethan Roberts, an ARS employee who is also the chairman of the American Federation of Government Employees Local 3247 Union, told the royors.

Workers will not be replaced by 15 October.
This would force some research projects to prevent, Henderson said, citing a project to develop a vaccine for a deadly toxin, which occurs in the undercut beef.
He said, “We have no longer talent to progress on these research projects. It is installing us back for years, if not for decades,” he told the Reuters.

The agency is below about 1,200 workers through reducing this year’s efforts.
