The US State Department proposes that tourists and business visas require to post a bond of up to $ 15,000 to enter the country, which can make the process ineffective for some.
In a notice posted on the website of the Federal Register and to be published on Tuesday, the state department said that it will close the 12 -month pilot program for people from high -overseas rates and require the necessary internal document security control to post $ 5,000, $ 10,000 or $ 15,000 bonds on applying for a visa.
This proposal works to tighten the requirements for visa applicants as President Donald Trump and his administration.
The department announced last week that many applicants would have to present an additional in-practice interview to renew their visas, which was never required in the past.

The bond notice was previewed on the Federal Register website on Monday and said that the pilot program would not be effective within 15 days of its publication. Notice also stated that the program is necessary to ensure that the US government is not financially liable if a visitor does not comply with visa conditions.
“The aliens applying for visas as temporary visitors for business or bliss are the citizens of countries identified by the department, which are in high visa overstay rates, where screening and weeting information is lacking, or offering citizenship by investment, if the alien receives citizenship with the need for a residence, the pilot may be subject to the pilot program.

While visa bonds have been proposed in the past, they have never been implemented.
The reasons have never been applied, they include potential misconceptions by the public, and the argument that the process of posting and discharging the bonds may be a burden.
