Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has prepared to hit the streets against alleged vote theft for the 13-day visit in Bihar and the election in-depth review of the voter list made by the Election Commission (ECI) in the state.
Congress General Secretary (Organization) KC Venugopal announced Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ program, “Our vote, our constitution, our democracy, Rahul Gandhi, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashvi Yadav and other Mahagadan leaders to include voter Adatra”
“The yatra will be kicked with a mega launch rally in Sasram on 17 August, which is going through Gaya, Munger, Bhagalpur, Katihar, Purnia, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Pashim Champaran and ending in Arrah on 30 August.”
The proposed ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ will be focused on the ongoing sharp opposition against ECI.
Venugopal said, “Those who have conspired to steal our votes and destroy our difficult-fight democratic system will be punished by the people. We will always fight to ensure that the power remains with the common people and was not taken away by those working for divisive forces, chronies and powerful,” said Venugopal.
At the end of Thursday, the Congress will organize ‘Democracy Torch procession’ in all district headquarters across the country.
On 1 September, the Opposition will organize a ‘Mega Voter Adhikar rally’ at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, where the entire vote of Bihar will send a clear message to remove the thieves (thieves) “, Venugopal said.
In February 2024, this will be Gandhi’s second visit over many years after taking out Phase 2 of the Bharat Jigo Yatra, which saw the Congress reviving its organization, and also translated into some election gains during the last year’s general elections.
In other planned events, the party will take out rallies with the theme ‘Vote Thief-Leev the throne’ in all state headquarters from 22 August to 7 September. From 15 September to 15 October, a ‘signature campaign’ will be organized across the country to protect the right to vote.
On August 7, Gandhi produced data from alleged suspected voters in the Mahadevpura section of Bangalore (Central) Lok Sabha constituency and claimed that 1,00,250 million “stolen” votes helped the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) win the seat in 2024, as the Venade MP accused the ECI with the BJPP.
Gandhi claimed that in Mahadevpura, 11,965 duplicate voters, 40,009 voters with fake and invalid address, 10,452 Bulk voters who had the same address and 4,132 voters with invalid photographs.
