A video captured the protesters in Washington, DC, shouting at police officers “Get off our streets!” As law enforcement established a checkpoint with a popular nightlife corridor in the nation’s capital.
A few days after President Donald Trump tried to crack down on the crime, Washington, DC police came out a few days after the DC announced a federal acquisition with the 14th Street Northwest till late Wednesday night.
“Why are you here? You are trying to arrest innocent people? What is your purpose? What is your goal? Why will you not show your face? Do you see yourself in a mirror and think ‘I have done a good job today’?” A guard was heard shouting at the authorities.
Other people were urged drivers to “turn left” to avoid checkpoints.
