Wayne Runi revealed a player “cried on his chest” after the Major League Soccer Club DC United was abused during his time, and called him for more anti-race-race education campaigns.
England and Manchester United’s former greats also want to see clubs punish clubs more seriously for racism.
Speaking on her new BBC podcast, Runi discussed what could be done to eradicate racism in the Premier League.
It comes after the Bornmouth Forward Antony Seminio that he was rapidly abused by someone in the crowd during Cherry’s 4–2 defeat by Liverpool on Friday.
On the Wayne Runi show, he said, “I had a racial abuse with one of my players in DC and he was crying on my chest. I was catching him because he was crying on my chest.”
“I don’t think people realize – they call it as a throwing line, which they think there is no meaning behind it, but it harms people. To see and understand it, people should be done to stop it.”
The Friday Premier League opener at Anifield was temporarily stopped in the 29th minute, when Semenio reported the referee to misbehave.
A 47 -year -old man from Liverpool, who was arrested on suspicion of racially increased public order crime, has been banned from every football stadium in the UK and is conditionally granted bail.
Roney said that anti-discrimination education is necessary for all ages, but also wants to look at strong restrictions for clubs.
Runi said, “For children, parents and grandparents -to be educated for the grandparents, there should be a strong campaign for the society.”
“You have to hit the clubs because this is the only way that will shut down it. If ignorance, the fans will still do so.
“You have to hit the clubs by removing the points or hit them in the pocket and withdraw money from them. Otherwise, it will continue to go.
“Hope the right people sit with the right outfits and try and some become serious.”
According to Rule E20.1, the Football Association (FA) has the power to implement the financial penalty or stadium closed (whether partial or full), which does not work on the report of racist misconduct on the clubs.
In 2023, League to Club Gilingham was fined £ 12,500 by FA for three cases of misconduct after racist and sexist abuse by his supporters.
