Kartavya Bhawan will be part of 10 buildings of the Common Central Secretary under the Central Vista redevelopment project
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the Kartav Bhavan known as the Central Secretariat Building -3.
The new -inauguration building will be a part of 10 buildings of the Common Central Secretariat under the Central Vista redevelopment project to be constructed in the next 22 months.

Here are 5 features of Kartavya Bhavan:
- CCS-3 or Kartavya Bhavan 2019 is the first building being prepared as part of the Marki Central Vista Rewmps. The building will be included in the offices related to many ministries, including many ministries, foreign affairs and rural development.
- The plinth area of Kartavya Bhawan -03 is 1.5 million square meters with a basement area of 40,000 square meters, which spreads to two parts and seven levels. Its parking lot can accommodate 600 cars.

- A government release states that the CCS-3 building is designed to use 30% less energy. Targeting Griha-4 ratings, stability is taken into consideration when construction. It has double-glazed faces, solar water heating and rain water harvesting. To focus on waste management, the convenience will have zero-discharge waste management and in-house solid waste processing.

According to the government, many major ministries still work from old buildings such as Shastri Bhawan, Krishi Bhawan, Uydog Bhawan and Nirma Bhavan, which was constructed between the 1950s and 1970s, and is now considered “structurally old and disable”.
After redevelopment of buildings for bureaucracy, the next line has an executive enclave that will give home to a new Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Cabinet Secretariat, India House and Secretariat of National Security Council.
