New Delhi: Opposition India Alliance on Tuesday, former Supreme Court Judge B.K. Sudarsen Reddy was nominated as his joint candidate for the Vice Presidential election.Announcing the decision, Congress President Mallikrajun Kharge said, “This vice-president-presidential competition is an ideological battle, and all opposition parties agreed to it, and that is why we have nominated B. Sudarson Reddy as Joint Candidate.“He confirmed that the nomination would be filed on August 21, with a meeting of all opposition MPs set in the Central Hall the next day.“B. Sudarsen Reddy is one of the most prestigious and progressive jurists in India. He has a long and renowned legal career, including Judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court, Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court and Judge of Supreme Court. He has been a consistent and courageous champion of social, economic and political justice. He said that if you study, he is a poor man and many decisions, who would know that he took favor of poor people and also protected the constitution and fundamental rights, “he said.TMC MP Derek O’Brien said the election was supported by all the parties, including the AAM Samee Party.
