A woman has died after hitting a falling tree branch in Lancashire Park.
She was walking with a child at Wetton Country Park in Blackburn, Local democracy reporting service Said.
Emergency services found that the woman feels that she was in the 30s, which was unanswered near the entrance of the bunker lane in the park after 20:30 BST on Monday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The region was discontinued and Blackburn with the Darveen Council, who owns a 480 -acre park, said it had fallen in the middle since the branch had fallen.
Many members of the woman’s family reached the spot shortly after.
In a statement, the council said that “it was deeply saddened to confirm that a member of the public died tragically after an incident at Wetton Park yesterday, when a large tree branch collapsed”.
The authority’s chief executive Dennis Park said: “Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the family and friends of the person who have lost their lives in this difficult time.
“Emergency services including paramedics and air ambulances participated in the scene. Council employees also supported the area to ensure public safety.
“As part of precautionary security measures, the tree involved was falling this morning.
“Wetton Park is a very preferred community location, and everyone’s safety which is extremely important to us.
“Our views remain the first and the first with the family in this very sad time.”
A spokesman for the Lancashire police said that the death of the woman was not being considered suspicious and a file for the coroner would be prepared.
Livesi, with Livington counselor Paul Mero, said: “Ash is a diaback disease and in the Wetton Park and across the boro, there are concerns about the number of dead trees dead.
“The council requires regular, intensive inspection of trees in the park to ensure that they are safe.”
