Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski confirmed his arrival at Washington, DC to end a meeting with President Donald Trump to end the war with Russia.
“I have already come to Washington, tomorrow I am meeting with President Trump. Tomorrow we are also talking with European leaders. I am grateful to @Potus for invitation. We all share a strong desire to end this war quickly and firmly.
Zelancesi will bring a group of European leaders at Monday’s meeting, and Trump said that on the truth social it is “a great honor to host them all.”

Zelansky said the meeting should be different from the past discussion on how to achieve peace with Russia, which allowed Moscow to handle the part of Crimea and Donbas in 2014.
He also said that “the so -called ‘security guarantee”, given to Ukraine in 1994 after the collapse of the Soviet Union, did not work.
The Ukrainian President said that his country would not tolerate another temporary Trus, maintaining that only applied guarantee from the US and Europe could prevent Moscow from starting future attacks.

In his post on X, Zelancesi highlighted some of the recent “successes” by Ukrainian forces, emphasizing the assurance that Kiev could defend its region with constant western support.
“Ukrainians are fighting for their freedom, for their land. Now, our soldiers have successes in Donnetsk and Sumi areas. I am confident that we will protect Ukraine, effectively guarantee security, and that our people will always be President Trump, every partner in America, and every partner and their support.”
While Zelansky expressed gratitude to Trump, the US and European allies for support, he also said that he hoped that “joint strength” would push Russia to end the war starting over three years.
“Russia should end this war, which it begins itself. And I hope our joint strength with America, with our European friends, would force Russia as a real peace. Thanks!,” The post was concluded.

Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly demanded that Ukraine on Friday demanded a return from two eastern regions during a summit with Trump in Alaska.
Trump appeared in a post on Truth Social on Sunday night showing support for Putin’s request, it was written that in Zelancesi “the ability to end war with Russia.”

Zelansky repeatedly said that Ukraine is not giving any area.
