New Delhi: External Affairs Minister K Jaishankar on Friday welcomed the United States verdict to nominate resistance front (TRF) as a foreign terrorist organization (FTO) and a specially designated Global Terrorist (SDGT), called it a “strong confirmation” of counter-conversion cooperation.TRF, a proxy of banned Lashkar-e-Tyiba, was behind a terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 civilians.In a post on X, Jaishankar called the move a strong show of Indo-US anti-terrorism cooperation. He thanked US Secretary Marco Rubio and the State Department for action against TRF and said that the group had openly claimed responsibility for a fatal attack.He said, “Zero tolerance to terrorism. Operation Sindoor,” he said.The Pahalgam attack was the deadliest attack on citizens in Kashmir in recent years, and the American decision has been seen as a strong message against crossborr terrorism.
